Bush warns Iran and Syria over Hezbollah

Height of hypocrisy:

The president is telling Iran to stop sending weapons and
money to the militants. And he warns Syria to stop its
"support for terrorism" and to respect the sovereignty of
      Lebanon.

Bush warns Iran and Syria over Hezbollah

(Washington) July 29, 2006 - President Bush has tough words for two of
Hezbollah's biggest supporters.

The president is telling Iran to stop sending weapons and money to the
militants. And he warns Syria to stop its "support for terrorism" and to respect
the sovereignty of Lebanon.

In his weekly radio speech, Bush calls the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel
"painful and tragic." But he believes it presents a "moment of opportunity" to
bring change to the Mideast. Bush warns it takes time to bring about change, but
in the end he says the consequences will be "profound" - not only for those
nations, but for the US, as well.

The president is also reiterating his support for getting a UN Security Council
resolution that would mandate a multinational force in southern Lebanon.
