What Really Is A Conspiracy Theory?

Imagine saying to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, “My, you’re very tall.”
Imagine denigrating anything not hailed as truth by institutions such as government, or mainstream media, as “conspiracy theory.”
What’s the connection? Much deeper than at first it might seem, much deeper than the absence of critical thinking—it’s a pattern of apathy. Both instances lack wit and subtlety…no thinking, whether stating the obvious, or scoffing at any truth not “official.” So why has conspiracy theory become such a knee-jerk label? First, let’s look at what “conspiracy theory” means, institutionally and officially.
Conspiracy theory is most often used to identify secret military, banking, or political actions aimed at stealing power, money, or freedom from the people. “Wikipedia” even adds the zest, or invitation for the absurd (more on this in a moment), of secret plots by conspirators of “…almost superhuman power and cunning.”
America’s plague of conspiracy-theory labeling subverts critical thinking; one of our least popular endeavors—critical thinking that is, has much to do with protecting one’s comfort zone and avoiding cognitive dissonance…much to do with choosing what to believe, regardless of evidence. A fine example is Americans’ attitude regarding official confessions that the anthrax attacks soon after 9/11 were false flag. (1)
So many obvious lies marched out as official truths have made 9/11 the ultimate mother lode of so-called conspiracy theories; one of which portrays the anthrax attacks as false flag terror, an inside job. Despite the government finally admitting that of course the anthrax attacks were an inside job, a shocking number of people still believe anything that strays from the anthrax attacks being Muslim terror is, of course, conspiracy theory. For those comfortable in their comfort zone, will truth ever be enough for them to give up the reassuring lies?
What is “false flag terror?” Essentially, false flag terrorism occurs when elements within a government stage a secret operation whereby government forces attack their own forces or people. The attack is then falsely blamed on an enemy in order to justify going to war against that enemy.
Sound familiar? It’s a trick as old as war.
Consider this frightening aspect regarding official confession that we did the anthrax attacks: People hardly seem to care…. As usual, institutional and official omission have kept many from awareness, even though it was on TV. (2) Mainstream media, owned by the same elite that own federal government, is all about perception management. To them, truth is irrelevant in the shadow of perception, and they have brainwashed Americans, in the view of the rest of the world, into being the most misinformed of people. For “developed” nations, we’re number one.
Americans still able to think critically saw false flag terror in virtually every part of the anthrax fiasco. But the ultimate smoking gun was the Ames strain, its only possible source being the US military bio-weapons program…specifically, the US Army Laboratory at Fort Detrick, Maryland. Institutionally and officially, how many million times were we assured that the anthrax came from Iraq? From Saddam’s superhuman cache of Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Similar smoking guns so surround and permeate 9/11 at the WTC that even after 8 years the smoke isn’t clearing. Identical to the anthrax smoking gun is that regarding nano-thermite with, yes, only one possible source—the US military.
Red and gray chips of the world’s most sophisticated nano-thermite, or “super-thermite,” are dispersed throughout the approximately 30,000 tons of dust generated in the demolitions of WTC 1, 2, and 7…as are perhaps 10 tons of tiny iron-rich spheroidal droplets, an unmistakable signature of super-thermite. (3) More evidence of thermite glares from this photograph. (4) The two fireman in the picture are among the first to secure the scene before arrival of anti-evidence squads. Directly behind the fireman on the right is a tower’s massive steel support column that was sliced off at a tidy 45 degrees, the super-themite cut surrounded by telltale slag…. The official response to undetonated thermite in WTC dust: The samples were contaminated.
Samples? Again, undetonated chips of super-thermite are distributed throughout WTC dust. As for the US military being the only possible source on Earth of such precision-milled thermite? “Oh,” they say. “That’s conspiracy theory.”
Even such evidence as thermite-sliced steel beams has been sluiced into conspiracy theory. Astonishingly, so has the recorded confession of WTC leaseholder Larry Silverstein regarding the “pulling” of WTC 7. Silverstein’s exact words:
“I remember getting a call from the, uh, fire department commander, telling me they were not sure they were going to be able to control the fire. I said, you know we’ve had such terrible loss of life, the responsible thing to do is pull it. Uhh, and they made that decision to pull, and we watched the building collapse.” (5)
Note: Firefighters on the scene described those “uncontrollable” fires as fading, something they could easily knock down with a couple hoses.
The ultimate question: Why was WTC 7 rigged for demolition BEFORE 9/11? Conspiracy theory says that WTC 7 had to have been rigged starting weeks before 9/11, and the evidence could not be clearer than immediately after the decision was made to “pull it,” the virtually undamaged, rock-sturdy 47-story steel frame building collapsed into its own footprint at essentially free fall speed. And consider this: Jane Stanley of BBC news announced the “collapse” of WTC 7 over 20 minutes early—on a live feed with the building still standing behind her! (6) Watch the whole video to see how the feed from Jane is mysteriously lost—right before WTC 7 actually does…”collapse”…..
A first question in crime investigations is, who benefits? For starters, Larry Silverstein netted over $500 million on the insurance settlement. Plus, vital records pertaining to thousands of investigations of organized crime, and corporate fraud (tax fraud, stock fraud, etc….), involving Enron and many others—including the Securities and Exchange Commission’s primary inquiry into how investment banks divided up hot shares of initial public offerings amid the high-tech bubble. In WTC 7 were offices of the IRS, FBI, Securities and Exchange Commission, US Secret Service, Department of Defense. How amazingly handy for very powerful people, all those cases being closed because evidence was destroyed.
The institutional and official reason for the collapse of WTC 7: “We’re not quite sure….”
Regarding “more on this in a moment”…the entire body of conspiracy theories has been “salted” with absurdity. Who might be doing the salting—who stands to gain? Certainly not proponents of truth, but conspirators who want to see accurate explanations of what really happened on 9/11 tainted by any association with such as dead celebrities, aliens, and monster technology. They want to spread the word that any “conspiracy theory” is too absurd to be believed. And don’t expect the public to discern between truth and absurdity—that requires critical thinking, especially since the official mainstream explanations themselves are so drenched with absurdity; so drenched with suspension of the laws of physics, outrageous coincidence, impossibilities, Rube Goldberg adjustable time frames and key omissions.
Recently, another institutional and official deception has been quietly fessed up to. Osama bin Laden did in fact die in December, 2001. All informed officials have known it all along—but look at the incredible deception they have fed us all these years….
So what might happen if high treason in the highest official positions were finally admitted? What if our leadership confessed that, as Japanese legislator Yukisha Fujita argued during debate over Japan’s withdraw from the Global War On Terror, “…that the attack of 9/11 were an inside job to justify aggression in Afghanistan and beyond?” Incredibly and astonishingly, perhaps next to nothing would happen…because so many Americans finding comfort behind the great wall of institutional and official lies would be blasted from their comfort zones and subjected to severe cognitive dissonance were the wall torn down. Also, critical thinking would be essential, demanding actual meaningful participation in governance.
Obviously, our entire system of governance needs profound corrections—just to get anywhere near functioning as touted. How much would it matter that our corrupted system, besides delivering 9/11, the anthrax fiasco, endless “theater” wars for resources disguised as a GWOT (notice how all the terrorist hot spots represent a road map of not only the greatest remaining reserves of fossil fuel, but also the pipeline routes to get the energy to western markets?) And that WWIII is being seriously considered as a way to revive our sold-out economy? (7) On and so on, and for what? In a moment of Bush cockiness, the absolutely fundamental truth was publicly shared: In 1992, when asked what Iran-Contra was really all about, George Bush Sr. replied that it was done for “…the continuous consolidation of money and power into higher, tighter and righter hands.” Indeed, that’s the core reason for just about everything civilization is doing, war being the ultimate “consolidator.”
Feudalism, lords and serfs…the old Dark Ages may seem bright compared to all wealth and power being concentrated in a mere handful of hands, as in the New World Order.
Back to a basic institutional and official definition of conspiracy theory: Secret military, banking, or political actions aimed at stealing power, money, or freedom from the people…doesn’t that sound like exactly what has all but ruined our “democratic republic?” Can you think of anything of national importance that is NOT somewhat, mostly, or entirely conspiracy—(anything directly related to military, banking or political actions regarding power, money, or freedom of the the people that is NOT conspiracy?)
Think critically about that—about conspiracy being nearly all we have institutionally and officially. Rather makes the term “conspiracy theory” as mindless as the terms “atmospheric air,” or, “wet water.”
Oddly, a majority of people insist that lying is all government and mainstream media do; still, these people choose to…want to believe the biggest whopper of all time: The Official Story of 9/11. The biggest crime in our history has never been investigated, only whitewashed. We allow the treasonists of 9/11 to go unpunished, chronically labeling as conspiracy theory any truth that contradicts the official story; is it any wonder that neocon plans for “global hegemony” accelerated by their “new Pearl Harbor” (9/11) remains a threat of more and greater treason? We are seeing in the current “financial meltdown” metastasizing globally—seeing especially in the USA—the greatest upward transfer of wealth in history. The federal government’s exposure pertaining to bailing out financial institutions most responsible for the meltdown currently hovers at $24.7 TRILLION, tab to the taxpayer. But ultimate responsibility for this runaway “…consolidation of money and power into higher, tighter and righter hands” is ours for allowing the perpetrators of 9/11 to walk free without investigation. So, as dictated by the global financial elite, we are now undergoing the controlled demolition of the middle class—terminal consolidation of wealth and power into the few hands at the very top.
“Superhuman power and cunning?” You betcha—especially when compared with the hundreds of millions of common folk who, above all, just want things to be “alright” so they can tell Kareem he is very tall while they’re sunk too deep in apathy to even save their own country.
In 1787, Alexander Tyler of the University of Edinborough wrote that all democracies go through eight stages, two hundred years being the average cycle time. The stages are:
From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back to bondage.
We are dallying, just now embedding up to our eyeballs in apathy after about 233 years. And as far as the bondage stage hurtling toward us…hail, the New World Order.
